After two years, and two angry letters from Kristin's insurance company, I finally got a Pennsylvania driver's license. One of the reasons I put it off so long is because, like everyone else, I hate going to the DMV. To my surprise, PA has separate offices just for getting a driver's license. These offices are brilliantly called Drivers License Centers.
Knowing how the DMV works in New York, I expected to wait in line for anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes just to get a ticket, so I can go sit on a bench and wait another hour or so. I left the office around 2:00p and got to the Drivers License Center pretty quickly (luckily it's very close to the Murata Business Center). However, I had a little bit of trouble finding the actual office. I was looking for a big huge DMV building, but it turned out to be a small office in the corner of a shopping center. When I walked in there was no line at all, I was able to walk right up to the counter and start filling out the paperwork. I was in and out in about 15 mintues, with my new license. I was back at the office by 2:30p.
This was by far my best experience with any DMV. And it doesn't hurt that Express Dynamics payed for it...
